>> Student Affairs. This is Susanne. My name's Susanne Friedman and I'm a special events coordinator. So I currently work in an academic institution and I-- my events are orientations and certain parties, receptions for the students as well as banquets for certain honor societies. Yeah those would be my events. My day to day is fairly administrative. I answer a lot of-- I work in a student affairs office so I answer a lot of questions that the students have. I-- Part of my job is scheduling appointments. I meet with my boss weekly to go over what events are coming up and what programs are being created and executed. So yeah mostly administrative. Computer, contacting people, seeing who's available, printing up programs, developing programs. I start from scratch. Who's going to be involved? Who's going to talk? Who are we going to get? Who do we need to reach out to? Once we secure all those people what's the program going to look like? Who's going to go first? Who's going to go second? Who's going to go Monday? Who's going to go Wednesday? To food, audiovisual needs, their audiovisual needs as compared to our audiovisual needs, signage, public relations. It definitely helps if you are an organized person. >> Mm-hmm. >> Someone who loves lists. Someone who likes to cross things off their list. I am fortunately, or unfortunately, one of those people who once I remember something if it wasn't on my list I then write it on the list just so I can cross it off.
